June 6th, 2011 - July 27th 2011

Hey Everyone... Not doing great. It's been a while, but I finally got the strength I needed to post this. Ebony passed away in my lap on July 27th 2011 at 8:03 PM. Um... I'll post the only photo I have of her later. She got a very pretty auburn/black mixed back, and a puffy tan chest. The time I shared with her taught me a lot, and even though she didn't live long, she got to experience everything an adult chicken does. She got to take a dirt bath, try to eat an earthworm, feel the sun on her feathers, and be truly loved. She chased grasshoppers, and hung out near the food dish often. She wasn't in any pain at all during her life, even on the last night. Ebony was very special, and she is dearly missed every day. Her brother, Speckles, and her sister, Dori are growing up fine without her. Dad finally realized that Speckles is so tiny, that he couldn't hurt my big chickens, so I get to keep him.
