I have 4 bantam silkie mixes under a broody hen. She sat on a previous set of eggs until day 11 when I candled & discovered they were yolkers. Swapped them with fresh bantam eggs from a friend. Candled day 7 & at that time saw something happening with two eggs but two looked like they could be nothing. There’s only one white egg so the others are hard to see. On day 12 with this set & trying to wait until day 14 to candle again. My broody had been so dedicated. I really hope we can get at least one chick to hatch for her. I’ve had chickens less than a year so it’s my first time doing any of this & I've been learning along the way. I find it all so fascinating!
