So one of my eggs that made it to lock down was an egg that had a pretty large air cell when I received it in the mail. I was not hopeful for it at all, but it surprised me and developed.
The other three chicks hatched, this one didn’t even pip, so I candled it. The membrane had collapsed on it. I chipped off the top put on some coconut oil, the blood vessels are not dried up yet, picked a little tiny hole in the membrane so it can breathe, and put it back in the incubator. Hoping for the best.
On a happier note, chick number three appears to be a blue copper Marans
