June Hatch-A-Long

We might....just have to see how "tame" they are. We would love to have more in the area as my hubby's family has an annual pheasant hunt get together and they haven't gotten many the last couple years. Either way, they will probably end up food.
My family hunts pheasant as well. Where I live you need a permit to have them. I may get a permit once we get more land.

I was transferring the next bunch (day 18) over to the "hatcher" for lockdown, and I dropped an egg. Has anyone dropped one like this and had it hatch? Chick is still moving, and the membrane didn't puncture. 20200609_200714.jpg

Yes! Mine was actually bleeding. :fl:fl:fl

does this mean you have two incubators?

Oh good! So maybe I didn't kill it in my klutzyness!

And yes, I have two incubators - I had three staggered hatches going all about 4-5 days apart, so I'm using one as a hatcher rather than trying to juggle re-setting the turner.

Probably not space to put this one in with the turner then? At a minimum I would put coconut oil now but it will dry out. Hmmm. I guess I would just watch it for signs of struggle. It should be okay but it may have Shrinknwrap issue being so exposed.

the craziest thing with mine, it was malpositioned. There’s this weirdo chance that me dropping it saved it because I could get it out. Hoping for yours to make a non dramatic exit!
