Hello, my name is Andrea and I have a hatching addiction.

lol, oh wrong group. I was doing so well. All of the eggs I have set will be hatched by this weekend...and then it happened...I found more Sebastopol goose eggs and their season is pretty much over this year so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to hatch them. Right? RIGHT? :lau

Hey all! I have been enjoying going through this thread and getting caught up with you all for next month's hatch.

I had a hatch this May and now I set some more eggs for June! Haven't messed with an incubator in a good 7 years. Any chicks we have hatched have been by means of a broody. Here is my incubator for the June hatch :) We have Speckled Sussex, Partridge Rocks, Andalusians and Olive Eggers plus two of my own backyard mix. The barnyard mix went in the two openings. :)

Pretty colored eggs 😍

Who was it through
Whoops, didn’t get the notification for this. 🤦‍♀️ Breezy Bird Farms, it’s in Manitoba (cuz I’m north of the border haha). We’re pretty severely limited here when it comes to hatcheries, but this is so far the best for hatching eggs I’ve found. Haven’t had much luck with local eggs so thought it was worth the effort and extra cost. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Reporting in: I had made a note to recheck the #4 egg, that it looked a bit off at the Day 7 candling so I just re-candled that egg. Tomorrow is Day 11 and seems it's probably a quitter, mass of baby at the bottom of the egg, what looks like a blood ring around the center, no thing radiating around the sides so I will give it another day or two, then remove it if I see the same thing. S
o, I'm down to 20 Brahmas in there and they're already spoken for. I don't usually candle after the first time until Day 18 when I remove them from the turner, but I wasn't too sure about that one, something was just hard to see in there, shell was a bit rough, unlike all the others.

Completely logical thinking if you ask me!
I mean...who knows if there will be Sebatapol geese next year, right??
