Although I am going to take a pic of what 17 chick's squished in a 20 egg brinsea looks like.
OK here they are in the incubator
And then here are the babies when you can actually see them
First 10
Remaining 7
Talk about odd man out...what's up with that little silver one. Definitely didn't have any that color in the last batch. Did get another really light colored chipmunk striped one that looks just like a salmon faverolle except for of course the chipmunk pattern. One out of the last batch is feathering in black---curious to see what this one feathers to look like.
I'm also still assuming that the older one is feathering in black because it is a boy. Don't know for sure yet who is who out of the 3 week crowd. See a few I know are females but no obvious males except maybe the salmon faverolle easter egger mix...at least I'm guessing that is what those particular ones are. A buff orpinton is my main rooster but I also have a blue copper marans, a salmon faverolle and a very excited young easter egger. The salmon mixes from the last batch are neat. 2 are feathering in white, 2 are feathering in orange, one is feathering in mostly brown, and the one that was chipmunk striped is feathering in black and white
