Just did a full candle and removed two eggs. 25 total left and they all look really good, including my singular Wheaten pullet.

Yeah, go little Wheaten, go!!!! Was this the group with losses of shipped eggs?

Took some more pics of keets after doing a little cleaning and couldn’t resist sharing. The pair at the feeder together are a purple and the new coral blue: I like this pic because of the size difference, plus you can see how both have the same wavy lines on the head, but the purple is wild type base color (pearl), whereas the coral blue has a lavender base color. Both the purple and blue have decreased pearling (the white spots on adult feathers).

Still not awful for shipped but tough to have lost so many of your eggs!!! And you’ve had pretty good luck with shipped eggs, too!

The last guinea egg has PIPPED!!! Can you spot the nearly invisible guinea pip? Second pic has the pip outlined in green. First pic is undoctored... Glad that the pip isn’t in that gob of gross dried on yolk, which has been there as this egg incubated for at least TWO WEEKS!!!!

And here’s a pic of the little one that hatched at 1 AM last night!!! May I present to you.... drumroll, please... Chardonnay! After hatching all of these eggs, we’ve finally gotten ONE that we are certain is a coral blue keet!!!

Beautiful little keet!! After such a long hatch it's so exciting to get another unusual color!

Hey one of my hen's was attacked my my mother in laws dog today. She has no bad opened wounds, but I think she is in shock. I have her in the house because its hot outside. I have never seen a chicken in shock so if any of y'all have can you tell me what its like. She's breathing hard and shaking a little bit. I know I could ask this somewhere else but I think I can get a answer here faster.

Oh no! I'm so sorry! I had a chick that was carried away by a hawk, dropped from a tall tree, and miraculously survived, ran to me and the stopped moving. The chick was definitely in shock and for several hours it seemed the best plan if action was to keep it in a dark, reasonably warm spot (not hot) to recover a bit from the shock and sleep for a while before I continued treating him. I hope your chicken pulls through!

What @CluckNDoodle said and I have same story. Hen dropped from hawk. Poor ladies.

It’s best for a dark space. It’s afternoon so id go ahead and crate her and treat it like it’s night time, and darken her space and leave her until morning. If you have electrolytes put them in the water.
