JUNE - JULY HATCH-ALONG!!!!!!!

Yeah it is yellow. No, I didn't assist other than placing egg onto the floor of the incubator. I did this very quickly so the humidity wouldn't be altered. And the humidity is still in the right range. The bird did all the work of getting out of the shell.
If it’s smooth circular yellow yolk, duckling with its egg half (if still in) go in “chick in a cup” in Hatcher or
Incubator. Danger is the ducky will step on yolk sac and rupture before absorbed so you keep them as quiet/confined as possible. This is in that assisted hatch link.

If it's yellow and not greenish than I would place the duckling back in the base of the shell and if you have the space in the incubator you can place it upright in a mug so it doesn't wiggle back out. I also use some toilet paper to pad the baby gently to keep it comfy and less likely to wiggle out. Here are a couple of pics of the mug chick I helped in my last hatch.

I'm undecided, that may be egg waste. It looks rather mushy to be the yolk sac unless it is already ruptured. These images are a couple of minor hernias I dealt with in my own hatches. Neither of these were significant enough that they required a mug, they were absorbed within a few hours and the worse of the two in the second picture did develop a small black "button" where the navel was healing, it's is normal to see in cases where the navel didn't close properly, just be sure to keep the brooder very clean because the chicks with this are more susceptible to infection.
