JUNE - JULY HATCH-ALONG!!!!!!!

Trying to get my incubator up to temp to put in a few of the eggs my broody duck is sitting on. It's being difficult. I have two thermometer/hygrometers set up to try and figure out the actual temp/humidity because I had humidity issues last hatch. Plus side... I figured out how to get my janoel12 to read fareheit instead of celcius lol.
I understand how difficult that can be. For me, the most helpful thing for maintaining the temperature with that type of incubator was to wrap it in a winter scarf or quilted pillow shams to insulate it, and to make sure it was in a draft-free room. Good luck to you!

I have it wrapped now but left a window open in that room last night :ththankfully no eggs in it yet lol. It's holding steady at 98 almost there. :fl

I'm in! I have Peacocks and Turkeys that I set in the June hatch-a-long but I realized they should probably be in the July hatch-a-long as well!

Turkeys due to hatch 7/12 and the Peacocks will hopefully start on 7/13 but there seems to be a longer window with those babies anywhere from 28 to 30 days for incubation and I set them on 6/16.

I also have 2 lonely little Blue Laced Red Wyandotte eggs that were given to me and they're due to hatch on 7/5.

And later today I will be picking up the following!
2 - Rumpless Araucanas
3 - Olive Eggers
3 - Silver Laced Wyandottes
5 - Blue Laced Red Wyandottes
4 - Whitings True Blues
7 - Cream Crested Legbars (with the Frosted gene)

I can't wait! :wee I have 4 broody hens running around will babies now, maybe if I'm lucky another will go broody before these chicks hatch and I'll just give them to her. lol

LOL! Definitely the crazy chicken lady here! :lau
Mostly I've just discovered a love for hatching poultry of all kinds and I can't say no when someone offers me eggs! I only keep chickens on my property but because so many of my friends would like to expand their flocks and are either not comfortable with hatching or have had bad experiences they don't want to relive, I just feed my addiction now by hatching chicks for them!

Ugh didn't get any notifications for this chat until today sorry just catching up. My eggs are day 12 until 8:08pm then they switch to day 13. Lockdown is on the 1st and hatch date is the 3rd/4th depending on what the babies decide. Checked for quitters night before last and on batch one Lone Oaks Crele eggs I had 5 quitters and 7 showing movement and growth. On batch 2 English Crele eggs I show growth on 7 eggs 2 blood rings and 3 infertile. So as of today I have 14 live eggs in the incubator.
