JUNE - JULY HATCH-ALONG!!!!!!!

Pics
I can't fathom NOT setting eggs. My past solutions to that issue has been to buy another Incubator, so I'm probably not helpful for that decision and definitely not a good influence. :lau

Same. My solution was to buy a bigger one... Those who say backyard chickens are free eggs, obviously haven't been hit with the incubator-mania. :gig

I know, I know. Argh!!!

I follow a marans breeder who sometimes piles ALL the extras into one incubator, literally eggs on top of eggs, turns twice the entire time, and has regular hatches. :th

Lol, It can't be too different from when a hen is sitting on a deep nest of eggs I guess!

I have 5 Incubators now. :lau In my defense they're mostly smaller Incubators, 1 was given to me, and 1 was used and only $15, how could I pass that up?! Lol!

They used pillow stuffing. I was so shocked because as I opened the box it virtually exploded in slow motion with all the fluff expanding.

Inside all the fluff were two egg cartons.

Same explosion when you open them.

Every egg and air cell looks like I pulled it from a nest box this morning. :ya

Lol, that's fantastic! I've never seen eggs packaged like that! Thank you for sharing!

Very interesting! I read a “best practices for shipping” letter over in a shipped eggs thread where they stated that individually wrapping each egg in bubble wrap, then a box within the box, was the preferred method. I hadn’t heard of the pillow stuffing method!

Yes I have found that method to be the best until this method. I’ve never had not at least 40-50% displaced even with the bubble wrap methods and this being 0% is shocking.
