I'm surprised they didn't eat them. Mine love them.

So I am wanting to hatch my only d,uccles eggs under my broody hen and mix it with my bantam rooster. But about ten days ago I had a very big black copper maran rooster and he was always mating with, I hatched him in my incubator a d when he grew up he was always fighting with my bantam rooster so I had to find him a good home. my question is, will my d,uccles eggs still be fertile from him?

It's pretty likely they will be.

So I really do think my broody hen is gonna go through with it this time!! Today is her third day being broody and I'm going to start collecting some eggs to put under her. But my question Is should I bring them inside in a room temperature room before putting them under her? And also the hens do still sometime nock her off the nest but I dont have anywhere I can separate her besides shutting the coop door when the hens free range, but if she cant protect her eggs know will she protect her chicks from the bigger chickens
