Thank you, Debiraymond. I appreciate what you said. I often insert a short note of friendly suggestion on threads to keep things clean so I do not have to close them. We all do that. That shouldn't stop a thread in its tracks. That is to keep it on track.

I do not envy the job of the moderators. I have 3 boys that I am constantly keeping tabs on and reprimanding. I sometimes wonder if the moderators feel like they have 30,000 children they need to keep tabs on, give or take a few thousand. You all do a great job, and I for one appreciate it. Thank you.

You know I certainly don't mind the mods making a post reminding us to be nice and not to take things too hard in a thread that is getting heated. But it is absolutely irritating when a member takes it upon themselves to be the board police, and start a thread with the express purpose of lecturing the membership of the board. Yes there are children here but that does not mean that the membership is a bunch of kindergartner's that need the teacher to flip the classroom lights on and off so they can settle the kids down and speak. We have specific mods that have been chosen for the position. I prefer to let them do their job as we need them. If someone has a problem with a specific thread then as a member do your job and click the report button. It's there for many reasons.

I appreciate what you are trying to do here, I understand it too, I have my own thoughts on some of this. I try very hard to keep a level head and stay calm, I lost my temper yesterday, in response to what I call terminal stupidity. Usually I'll calm down and go back and delete something but no more. The mods try and do a good job, it's hard for them. Yes there are young folks on here but I will not tolerate an attack on me because I might offend a youngster. Yes real people do have real feelings, and some of us are tired of having them stepped on and you are seeing more and more response to that and I don't think it's going to stop any time soon, at least until those who purposely attack others stop doing it.
