Just bought four ducklings off the back of a bike. Any idea what type they are?

I think they are probably crosses because all of the ducks here are, but they sure look similar to silver appleyards! Two have black heads, and two have greyish heads. Sex is still undetermined. One is definitely a boy, the others seem to be boys but possibly one or two girls in there. Oddly, the one that is very small seems to be male. Still waiting to find out for sure. I'll be so unhappy if they are all boys, because we can't keep any boys and these ones are so beautiful!

Sorry! It's night time here now, but I will try and get some photos in the morning. They are so skittish it's hard to get near them with a camera. I have to chase one down and grab it to take a photo. Not like our other ducks who come right up to me, begging for treats!

Here are some photos from this morning. These aren't great photos because they are very skittish. The ones with the black heads are starting to get green feathers on their heads. This is a male thing, right? AGHHHHHHHH

Sorry to twll you this, but atleast 3, if not all of those, are males. I raise Silver appys, and the females dont have dark heads or tails at all. They are just white with broan speckles. I dont have any good pics of my female right now, but here is one of a group of my ducks. Obviously, most of these are Not SA. The 2 in the front and one in the middke are molting males, and the one that is furthest to the right in the top right cornerish area is a female SA. So i think you might have all males:/:/

I seriously doubt these are SA, because all of the ducks here are mixed because they aren't kept separate. However, I think you are probably right that they are all male. I'm still waiting for final confirmation, but I've suspected this for a few weeks. Despite the fact that I bought all females! Wah!

I guess you can't trust a guy selling ducks off the back of a bike!
