I had a stoat/weasel get into the coop and kill a cochin bantam hen that was sitting on a clutch of eggs on top of a rabbit hutch in the barn. I should have put her and her nest in a protective coop, but never dreamed that a stoat would actually get up on the hutch. Now I never let broodies set outside of a protective hutch or coop.

It could just be the light, i never noticed untill looking at the pic :/, it could be though because she has been ill all week and i thaught she was going to die to be honest...

A weasel just got into my coop! Ripped HUNDREDS of feathers out of my BR hen, scared my polish roo and guinea away, and bite the BRs ear lobe and her eye is shut and wet. Please pray that my ONE and only guinea and my polish roo comes back. ;(

I will let yall know how my BR hen does.
