I would have kept the heating lamp for him, but I noticed that he won't change his place when he got hot unless I move him myself.

Interesting...Never heard a duck do that before, I haven't read this whole thread but, are you planning on getting other ducklings to keep him company?

I thought you had him outside in like a barn or something? that is why I was rec not bringing him inside and letting him bath in warmth then put him back outside.

yep, I would like to when I have the chance,
he was following his teddy, I think that was the problem.
even when he gets hot he won't leave his place.

thats kind of weird! He probably doesn't need the heat lamp except maybe right after his bath until he dried out. I think like @ratchink said, your idea of "cold" and ours is quite different! I'd put him right in the bathtub with nice warm water and let him go crazy in the water. He will love it and probably do some zoomies for you.

If you decide to let him in the tub with warm water, I'd still blot dry and place him in a warm place till he dries which shouldn't take long and he'll start preening which will get that oil gland working and he'll begin to water proof his new feathers when they start growing in.

He is doing well, Im happy that he recovered.. all thanks to you and all who have helped me here .
im giving him bath every two days.. his feathers become shiny.. his legs are much stronger, im impressed by his improvement.

He’s sure pretty coloring. Very happy to hear he’s doing so good now. I bet he loves his bath. Aren’t they fun to watch.
