This does not always hold true, but usually pullets feather out faster than cockerels. How old are the smaller ones? They look a lot like my 8 day olds.

Terrific job with the little BOs!

They look so much better. It is nice to see them in such a loving home where they are taken care of so well. Sure grow fast in a week don't they? The large on in front in your pic--Is the comb turning red already? If it is, may be a roo. One of my girls combs grew large but didn't turn pink at all and is just now starting to at 9 wks old tomorrow. Maybe post that pic in the breed/gender section and someone more experienced will be able to tell you.

Great job, I think they just need a little more time to fill out. I know that when I get a rescue animal it sometimes takes them a while to get healthy again. Good luck and great job on rescuing those 5 babies. I went last year and got 2 starter pullets the guy clipped their beaks since he had them in a small area.
