Just some cute duck videos.

Pics
I just went back to check on them and realized the mom is suzie!! She loves me and generally flies over to me as soon as she sees me so hopefully in a few weeks her and her babies will be running to me for treats!

2 of them have these little pink bills that I've never seen before and they are just the cutest little duckling bills I've ever seen.

This means Suzie hasn't been out searching for Karen, she's just been incubating her eggs. That makes me feel a lot better I was worried she was searching for Karen.

One drake is very interested in her and the ducklings, he's definitely one of the sweetest drakes in the park, and the only one that I watched grow up since a duckling, but he is definitely Suzie's sister 🙃

I have been trying to get more vids of Suzie and her ducklings, but she hasn't been at the park since the 1st day. Hopefully she took them somewhere a bit safer to raise them.

I do have a cute duck video though! My local Wal-Mart finally started selling kiddie pools again, and they had a MASSIVE one 5 feet in diameter for only 15 dollars so I had to get it, you can see how huge it is compared to my old kiddie pools in the video.
Duckies seem to love it so far!

Great find! Do muscovies love to muddle, too? If so, they'll have so much fun when you dump that!!

Oh yes every time I dump the pools all 4 rush over as fast as they can to play in the mud, they will have a lot of fun with it lol hopefully I'll remember to get a vid when I dump it in a few days

So.... after dumping the big kiddie pool literally once, I've decided I probably will only fill it up a few times a year for special occasions maybe duck birthdays. Dumping that thing out was the hardest thing I've had to do in a long time.... and completely impossible without getting completely soaked and muddy. Maybe if I somehow managed to add a little drain spout at the bottom it would work..
Ducks were happy about me dumping it though!

Anybody else have ducks that do this? Or is it just me 😂

Whenever I am sweeping out my coop, Pigeon likes to just stand in the doorway and get the shavings swept on to her.
Pigeon is so helpful!!

My ducks are very fascinated with whatever cleaning I do to their bedroom. But they don't stand in the doorway and get swept on. Lol. They more come inside and poke around. They are so, "helpful," that I have to lock them out or I'll never get finished. It's hard to use a pitchfork when 3 ducks are in the way!

The best thing is when I'm all done and they have fresh straw. They get so happy! They all run/waddle in making happy duck noises. They check out all the clean straw for about 20 minutes making a noise that I have decided means, "this feels so good!" Similar, I think, to us when we get fresh sheets, and I feel very appreciated.

Somehow I missed this video until now! They are so cute in the mud.

Yeah, we have a huge pool just like that one and it is physically impossible for me to dump. But I'm a small person, with one functioning hand. So we drilled a hole in the bottom of it and put a drain in it with a hose. One year I planted kale plants all around the pool so they could swim and rip off snacks. That was fun!

hmmmm I might have to try something like that, I'd love to always have that big pool filled up for them, but I'm not great at DIYing things.
