Hi everyone, I am training my dog to hunt and at training club I purchased 5 quail to be able to train at home with. Oh dear, I think I am getting attached and I find myself spending every free moment looking up plans that aren't too involved to more permanently house my friends. We live in a very cold environment which can get to 20 below so in addition to pen I am also considering a cheap greenhouse that would take the edge off in the winter as well as keep predators out. I feel like the cat in the hat!
I don't even know what to feed them, got some scratch and mealworm from Murdochs but haven't had a chance to plow through all the info. They are in a small dog crate for now (right above the chukar :-0) and I did put a sandbox in and am waiting for a more suitable waterer. What a great forum this is, I am hoping by registering I will start to be able to access the photobucket pictures. Its like being at a buffet and not being able to eat!
