Just wanted to get as much info on incubating eggs as possible

Hey everyone hope you all had a Merry Cluckmas! I was wanting to know as much as possible about incubating eggs. One of my chicken friends had incubated eggs and 8/10 we're fertile but only one chick hatched I don't want that to happen to me so I am doing as much research as possible any tips are greatly appreciated! Thanks

It's a learning process, especially when it comes to humidity. It can take several tries before you get everything figured out perfectly. And there are so many different variables that even those that are experienced at incubating get bad hatch rates occasionally.
Be realistic with your expectations. And read this. It's got everything you could ever possibly need to know.

Some of my information is in there but I'll also add this hatchability problem analysis. It lists all the things that could be the cause when embryos fail at various times.

Never overlook the nutrition of breeders. Regular chicken feed plus treats isn't adequate for good hatch rates.
