Kat, I am so sorryI’ve just had a terrible shock. I went out to collect my eggs and when I went into the chicken coop I found Dorothy (one of my two Welsumers) deceased!
I couldn’t believe my eyes. I was in shock. She was lying on her side under the roost.
She must have just died this afternoon because she is warm still and only beginning rigor mortis.
I checked her all over, I can’t find anything wrong with her.
She would have been a year old in May.

I received a package in the mail and guess what it was?
My long-awaited Lavender mug!!!!
I had given up on that but it’s here!
From a company in Australia! (I had orders in everywhere. Lol.)
It was a nice little pick-me-up after my sad day yesterday.

Now Lavender and Shad can sit side by side in my glass front cabinet. (Except when I am having coffee, of course.)
