Kayla’s Flock!

Nobody was feeling photogenic today... (including my photography skills :lau) It was so icky-muddy outside today so that *could* be the reason. :gig

Oh hey! It’s great to see you back here! :)
Thanks! It's good to have a few minutes to browse, again. It's been crazy around here.

We've done a bit of downsizing. I was able to place a potential breeding pair of Nankin bantams with a 4H family (YAY! They're on the critical list!) My Sebrights - two cockerels and three POL pullets - went to our local technical high school as part of their agri-training program, as did a lone Nankin cockerel who needed a new home. My five Silkies went to a friend with a back yard full of mixes.

I'd still like to place my Porcelain D'Uccles pair, but they really need to go to someone who will show them. They both placed in really big classes at our local county fair, so I'm picky about where they go- not because they're super birds (they're decent, not top-notch,) but because I want to help some youngster start out well. Besides, they're spoiled, and I kinda like the little buggers ...

So, we're now down to a manageable 17 - all bantams except for Herman, the House Rooster - split between three coop/runs (soon to be two, once I combine the bachelors) and a condo on the front porch. Herman has moved uptown, to the coop outside. He comes in at night for a few hours, then goes back out to the bachelor pad he shares with Feisty and Yukon, a single comb Nankin and a really pretty Red Pyle OEGB. One of these days, I'll get some updated pictures to post ... in all that spare time I always have (Nope - ACK!) and if we can stay healthy long enough ...

Good morning!
I GOT MY FIRST BANTAM EGG (from my new ones, Hallie lays too)
It’s the little cream egg, I’m pretty sure it came from Missy (OEGB)

~it rained all day yesterday and is raining currently, so please excuse the mud~

*i have lots of pictures:lau*

Missy- (the new layer)

I got an egg from Missy, Hallie, Maddie, and Opal :woot

Congrats on the eggs! A beautiful egg from a beautiful hen. <3

I think you got two roos and two hens... In the first picture, those two white ones (sorry, I can't remember whos who) are most likely pullets, and Napolean now looks roo... Could change again. But, it'd be sad if you'd have to separate the four... uh... amigos with two roos.

But on another hand, I really need some new pics of my ladies. I haven't had enough time, resulting in my sad flock page. xD
