Oh no!! That is awful!! From a predator or an illness or?

Something dug in and stole one

But there’s no sign of him anywhere except a bunch of feathers on the outside of the pen

mine are random walk out and find em dead in the run... so???? IDK still distressing cuz its usually the ones I wanted to keep... and with 2 months of feed in em and now I get nothing back. yuck

I had a few like that and I figure there was something wrong with them to just drop dead like that. The rest of mine have been fine though. I lost 2 I think from my Halloween hatch around 6 weeks I think. Just dropped dead. No marks or anything.

Here’s some updated pictures of the chicks! They are so grown up already. unfortunately we’ve lost two but we still have 7! They just turned 16 weeks old yesterday.

The Lavender Orpington is a MOOSE. I bet he’s gonna be a 10+ pound rooster lol

Rehomed 4 of the boys today. The Welsummer has a home lined up too but still have him for now and I’m keeping the Lavender Orpington. It’s so much quieter now.

They were crowing ALL. THE. TIME.

Well, mostly just one lol

But they found homes like almost instantly. Listed them yesterday and had replies right away. Met one of them today and they took all 4. I thought it would be really difficult to get rid of them. I always see ads for roosters everywhere & figured that meant no one wanted them plus @Kiki had mentioned it a few times and also I had no luck posting them here. Waited a few days then finally tried Craigslist yesterday and instantly had replies haha

The Wellie is going to someone from here though cause I happened to see a post about someone local looking for that breed of rooster and replied.

But yeah, it was waaaaaaaaayyyyyyy easier than I thought.

And still have @FortCluck Lav Orp who, by the way, I weighed yesterday and he weighs almost 7 pounds already.
