Thanks!! That makes a lot of sense!! I’m going to go get one and try that. Where would I find one? Is glass or plastic okay? I assume it can’t be one of those flat types?

Put all three thermometers as close together as possible.
Set an alarm for 15 minutes walk away and go do your fish.
in 15 minutes let me know what those three read when they're sitting as close as possible next to each other.
