Thank you! :hugs I don’t think he was necessarily trying to be mean but he just sometimes doesn’t exactly think before he speaks haha I think he was just more worried about what we’re gonna do with them all cause he said right after “well what are we gonna do with 10 chicks!?” which is maybe a good point but I’ve already thought of that and even if I hadn’t, bring it up later, not when I’m super excited I have live ones... hah

Yup! Although I can’t seem to get the humidity above like 40. I got it high last night like I think to 65 or maybe even into the 70s (it was an accident, added a little too much water. Was going very slowly with very small amounts but just added a tiny bit more one of the times by accident. Was aiming for like 50 or 55) but now this morning it’s back down to like 40 :barnie

Maybe that is fine?

I’ve read you can add wet sponges to help keep it up but I don’t think I should open the incubator? Was going to try adding a little more through the vent hole through some tubing I have but idk if I should or not.

What day are you on now?

I honestly think that is a New England thing where you say something without thinking first. My whole family is like that and sometimes it makes someone mad, but we get over it quickly.

@Kiki told me not to go above 50% and it worked for me. I add and wait an hour then add a bit more. I use a syringe and add 10 ml to each side.

I don't know how your incubator is set up but mine has an A and B with access on the outside so I can add water without opening the lid.

Technically I think still 18 cause I didn’t set them till 4 so at 4 it will be day 19.

So below 50 is okay too? Or should I try to get it to 50?

Mine only has one vent hole and the trays to add the humidity are under the mesh so you kind of have to lift the mesh up to get to them. It’s a real pain lol it’s got like 3 channels/rings but you have to lift the mesh up.

They do sell a humidikit but I didn’t buy it.
