Well, as I was closing up the coop tonight, I noticed that heavy fog rolled in, and that this heavy fog seemed to coat everything with a thin layer of dew. Im concerned that the fog may kep the coop soaked and that consequently the chicken's health will suffer. Any recommendations on keeping it dry?

Just open it up in the day to let the moisture out. Stir the bedding to allow it to dry out. Get the hens out in the fresh air and sunshine as soon as you can.

I live in The Netherlands where this is often a problem and I have silkies (which dont roost) ... I use cardboard boxes > the low sided ones that oranges and apples come in at the grocery store (line with newspaper fill halfway with sand and then shavings on top of that) ... this seems to work for keeping the bedding pretty dry... also reduces the amount of shavings I need and makes cleaning up way easier... when the cardboard box is damp I just pitch the whole lot and get a new box.
