Don't fry anymore, use butter sparringly. Learn to read labels. Skin all your fat the best you can. Change your oil when you use it to olive oil or other omega fats. Red meat only 2 times a week. Limit your salt, be creative with your veggies eg, I make a great
b utternut squash souffle with splenda and honey, pumpkin pie spices and you think you were eating a dessert. My dh ha congestive heart failure and we use the south beach way of eating. No white anything, whole grain only with grains. He will get used to it but he has to work with you 100%, no sneaking off to mickey dees for lunch.
He is being veru cooperative and we are compromising on most things. Biscuits and gravy once a month, not once a week. Mac a cheese the same. Tomorrow night is spaghetti with ground turkey. He agreed to try it - no bad atittude either. What is a good non-fishy fish besides salmon????

try tilapia, it is very light white fish and not fishy and reasonably priced. Get fresh if you can but frozen will work as well. Most groceries carry it.
