Kentucky people

Hi!! I'm new I live in greenup county :)

:D I'm from Greenup Co. (South Shore). Living just across the river now in Lucasville, OH, but still visit the parents in S.Shore every week and drive to Ashland all the time. Welcome to BYC!
I'd offer some mixed hatching eggs but my gals (all dozen or so laying) decided to collectively go on strike last week and haven't picked back up yet, lazy things..

Hey anyone have 4 leg bands they would be willing to share.  2 each of 4 breeds having a little trouble telling one from the other,

I buy the pack of colored Velcro strips (used to organize wires) from Walmart and cut them to the sizes I need. Works like a charm. :)

I also use the colored zip ties..a different color each year for stock I raise for hatching each Spring. That way I always know which ones are my oldest and which ones are new layers.
. I like that I am going to try it because I have over 300 now in eight different groups and they are going to be separated by breed I have red sexlinks, amber links, golden comets, silkies and a few mutts that I hatched

That's a lot of chickens! Keep in mind for breeding, though, that red sexlinks, amber sexlinks, and golden comets will not breed true.

. Yeah they are all crosses but I sell a lot of brown eggs and I seen the cross in them when I hatched out my own but I did notice that they are very good layers though and they all look different too lol

I live in old town. Just moved here last August but I only came from flatwoods.lol. My girls are game hens but I love them just same. Eegorthechicken was able to help me out with hatching eggs. I am so excited. I had 2 broodys when I started looking for some but now all my girls seem to be going broody unfortunately I don't have a big enough coop to let them all be mommys :(

Hello, I am in Barbourville KY. I am new to the Forum but have followed it for a little while. Wanted to join to see about getting and giving advice to fellow blog, web site and chicken owners.
