Kentucky people

The only grown birds I have bought in a long time were from you and Cindy. We did buy one itty-bitty bantam chick at the auction a few weeks ago, but other than that I usually just sell. Plus I try to keep them on the truck so if I bring them home, they don't bring anything with them. And I try to make sure no one touches them unless they are taking them

you and your dad were just going up past the Gate, when I passed ya.

I had a whole bunch of things to send out! I think there were like 8 boxes to ship

I'll have to pay better attention to my surroundings

Yeah, I'd like to keep them on the truck, too, and do when I can, but if I have a lot of them, I may have to put some of them onto the ground - probably if I do that it'll be the ducks, since they are less likely to catch chicken diseases.

Oh,

yesterday I got a wipe off board, to make my signs for Sano - so I can write on what I got/cost then use the same one over and just wipe it off and fix the stuff on it.

Most of the cardboard around here gets used for other stuff than signage

I only paid about 6 bucks for it, and we had a big one when I worked at the college to change our sign every day - it was rather handy

I am so aggravated right now!! Everytime I move eggs to the hatcher they die. I have one baby duck, the other 5 eggs quit. And I had 4 bantam BR eggs go to the hatcher and 2 of those are for sure dead. One has a pip, the other has nothing, so we'll see.

I figure with the dry erase board I'll have (maybe) less having to repeat myself on what I have etc... of course, I'll always have the ones who won't or can't read the sign

but it'll help, perhaps.

Yeah, I have two internal pips on duck eggs, one I got this morning, and one I had when I moved them - the first one I've seen no other action on, I hope it didn't die on me already.

Oh, and now since I put the quail racks in, either the jumbos have quit laying or are eating the eggs.

They have probably quit thanks to the lovely weather we are having.

That's what I figured, too - I have seen some smallish white eggs - not "real" eggs - makes me wonder if either they aren't getting enough nutrition or they are just in a naturally weird lay period. I've only seen about four of these white eggs (very small ones, like pullet eggs for quail) in the last two weeks. Had maybe three regular eggs in that time.

The white ones are usually becuase they were layed to early. The specks get put on near the end. Have they been stressed at all? Like being moved or whatnot? Are they fighting or crowded? Any of these could do it.
