Yeah, I have at least 8 or 9 garbage bags of cans (crushed ones) so I'm waiting a little longer to see if it goes up some more
big_smile.png
I got room to store them, so I don't mind.

I'll call ya Monday before I leave, and I'll try to find out today if I have to wait for Hubby to get his butt out of bed, or if I can just go in the morning after chores. I don't think he needs anything in town, but last time I went by myself I spent 300 bucks

Hey, I needed groceries, Gas and smokes, and well, the christmas decoration stuff wasn't that much

... hmmm... come to think of it, I forgot the gas, so it was probably closer to 350 bucks....

sorry you couldn't make it and I even brought you a pair of blue wyandottes.....saved them part of the day in case you came by......maybe we can get some bread next weekend if you are going to shepherdsville???

Sure was cold a the show yesterday morning....ran into some really nice BYC people there.

Looks like I'll get to take Cris to the doctor tomorrow. He started running a fever last night, and it's not getting much better. Motrin at least brings it down, but he's got a nasty cough and runny/sniffy nose too. What fun....my last week for these classes and I'll get to have Cris home

my son has the same thing going on.....

The only good thing I can say about it is that I don't think it's the flu. He had the flu last winter, and it totally wiped him out until his meds kicked in. I had taken him to the doctor and she gave him tamiflu, that helped a lot. He's not acting super tired, or weak or anything, so I think it's just a cold. But he does have a nasty cough....I won't send him to school tomorrow, but I don't know if I'll take him to the doctor or not. I might wait a day or so and see if it gets better/worse.

If you're sure it was from getting pecked about the only thing you can do is give it a shot of antibiotics to wipe out the infection. But if it's a case of the eye worm, Vet Rx works good to cure it.

I ended up taking DD to the urgent care Sat... she was running 102 temp and complaining her back hurt.... Doc said UTI (again)....

Well, she's still running a fever this morning so DH will baby her all day... I think I'll have him take her to her doctor today just to make sure nothing else is going on...

I do plan on being at Shepherdsville this weekend and I even made 4 loaves of bread.... I'll make some more on Friday since with the way my family goes thru it I doubt there would be any left....

Mrs. Turbo, Please bring some of those Blue W. and I'll take them. I can't wait to see their color....

We installed a new goat house yesterday and the goats were very happy with their new home... We put a block on the chicken coop to mostly keep the GP female from eating eggs... I told DH if we didn't do something soon, we'd have to buy eggs and he didn't like that at all... I can't repeat what he said but you all can imagine....

I think since we gave the goats a new house, they're not as mad about not being able to cozy up in the chicken coop....

I wish my chicken's would use the coop other than to lay eggs.... but NOoooo they have to roost in the barn rafters or on top of the goat house.... stupid birds....

BTW: STILL NO BABY GOATS!!! She's Huge... twins if not triplets....

I'm awake... sorta.

I made some candy last night - tried a new mix for the holidays (for giving to neighbors in cute little tins) It was orange chocolate with dried cranberries and walnuts in it - it was a huge hit here, so I imagine the neighbors will like it. I also plan to make gingerbread men cookies for their tins.

Hubby was protesting that he liked the pecan bark just fine, then he tasted the new mix candy, he likes that better, I think - he asked why I made such a small batch.

I was testing, dummy!!

I am just waiting for Halloween to get past so I can start decorating for Thanksgiving and Christmas
wink.png
I used to decorate all out for Halloween, but the kids are older now (or gone) and we don't get trick or treaters here - and much of my house is decorated like Halloween all year round (if you go into the right rooms, or you know what your looking at in the main rooms), so it just doesn't have that thrill for me like Christmas decorating does

Up north I could be rather "in your face" about the "halloween" house and nobody batted an eye, but down here, I don't want to offend my neighbors when they come over, I like my neighbors. I was subtle for years before I could do my house any way I wanted, now I guess I can be subtle again.

Luckily, much of my Home decor is angels and nativities and crosses/crucifixes
lau.gif
so everyone assumes I am Baptist or Catholic (or some church affiliation) down here. I don't believe in the Church, I believe in God - and many of them can't understand the difference, but they are good people anyway so I want to keep them as friends. So I keep the other decor in rooms that I can shut the door if they come over, or tucked in amongst the crosses and angels so they can wonder but not be too sure

.

Hmmm... how did I get onto this subject?

Well, I have to call Shelley and get her butt out of bed to meet me in town, and get my kid out of bed so he can get ready to come along (he needs some game component at Walmart and I have no clue what it is he needs - he'll have to find it there).

see ya all later -
