Is there anyone within say 1.5 hour drive of Irvine/Clay City who would sell me one barred looking hen of any variety/mix? I need one to swap out for a maturing rooster of evil temper. DD insists any replacement look like the bad boy.

Look up Fishmesser on the member search on here and see if he has an email me on his account. Thats my dad he lives in georgetown and raises Barred rocks he might have a hen that he would sell IDK! if you cant find him PM me and I will call and find out for you and let you know​

Meri would be one person who would know the answer, unfortunately she no longer participates on here. As to your earlier question about showing, I may enter the state fair this year, but that is about it for me I think for this year, unless I get some young chicks to raise up and maybe show them, probably be more silkies if I get anything, or maybe a polish or two.​

MY TURN!!!!

I am proud to say I am getting 4 eggs almost everyday now... Thats half my girls! Actually I have 5 laying but 2 are the standard and bantam Cochins and they don't lay consistently like the EEs and BC. Australorp, Ameraucana and Blue Andalusian haven't started yet.

My chickens can go out into the snow if they WANT... they just dont WANT too!
