she's old (17 1/2) and she hides a lot when company comes over. She probably heard Cristian coming

That does suck, and I know what ya mean about it always being your faves - I really adored sweet little James, it was hard to have to kill him.

What does it do before it crashes? or does it just lock up and die?

PM me with some info, if I can't fix it then Jon can (seriously, the kid lives and breathes computers - he's better than I am, and I've built computers and set up networks for people before.) With the new windows programs, though, it is usually pretty straightforward - a dump and reload will usually fix most any problem. I actually sort of prefer the old days with DOS and such, where you could trouble shoot or force software/hardware into the things if need be.

It usually just crashes. Everything will freeze on it, then it will close out EVERYTHING!! Lost my paper twice because of it!! Then earlier it was on the bed on standby while I was giving Cris a bath, and when I came back out and picked it up, it just shut off. Luckily that time, microsoft word was able to retrieve it. Needless to say, I have saved it after about every paragraph now!!
I have had to reset my IE a few times, and that usually fixes it. But that is such a pain in the butt to have to try and remember the names of the sites I visit!!
I upgraded my flash player yesterday, so that's probably what's done it. Any time i do anything with the flash player it messes the IE up.

OMG I forgot to tell everyone!!

I have been scared half to death twice in two days!! Yesterday I was sitting in the living room talking to my dad, when this little dark thing came running to me. Today, Cris was in the closet getting some toys out, when I saw another little dark thing running in front of the dresser. OMG!!! I thought it was a mouse!! That silly chick, that is only 1 week old, can fly out of its box already!! It comes running to the first person it sees!!

It is really cute, but talk about peeing yourself! It is the perfect size, and can move pretty fast! I have got that bedroom door closed so at least it can't get out into the rest of the house and get lost while we are sleeping! It only did it once today and yesterday so far, but I'm sure it is just a matter of time. It thinks it's alone, cause the chick it is with is blind, and just kind of stands around. I have it in here to keep the blind one company, but I honestly don't think the blind one would notice if it were alone. I really need to cull it, but I just can't. My heartless father said to just let it die. It is already 4 or 5 days old, so it doesn't look like it is going to. But that is just cruel. I wish I had the guts to cull it.

Hey Meri, I'll let you know before I visit...I got a GPS for my anniversary so I'll get your address so I can play with my new toy when I go to your house. Me and Cortni are going to have so much fun Geocaching!!

Surprise #1 for Meri - I may have a Christmas present for you on my way back home from my parents Thanksgiving weekend if you're interested. There was some Cochin Bantam eggs on Ebay and I noticed they aren't far from my parents so I e-mailed and asked if I could just buy some from them when I go at Thanksgiving so they don't have to suffer with the mail folks. They said to let them know when and they'll just meet me in Scottsville with them...YAY!! Want some?!

Surprise #2 for Shelley - Belle has hatched out a Mille Fluer baby last night and there are 2 to go and she is not budging from her nest.

Meri - You also have about 4 more Japanese under her that are due this week.

Hope all this cheers you girls up a little...Cindy

Oh yeah, I figured out that silkies are good hiders!! I moved the silkie babies to a different tractor the other day to give their big one to the standard chicks in the brooder. They kept stepping on my banties, so they had to go
tongue.png
The silkies free range all day, so they don't need much room. I kept them locked up for a few days to get to know thier new area, and let them out yesterday. I went out before dark to close up all my birds, and could not find two of the silkies. The other 4 were laying on the ground by their old tractor. I herded them in their new one, and went on a search for the others. I found one stuck under the end of dad's chickens run where his hens have a hole dug. How it got in there, I don't know, but it was coming back out, and got stuck. Me and Cris searched everywhere we could think of for the other one, and couldn't find it anywhere.
Today, when I was tossing corn out again, I looked down and said Cris come look!! There was a silkie baby by my feet!! At first I thought one of the others had gotten out, but on head count there were 5 in the tractor and one out. I have no idea where this one was hiding all day, but it was definitely hungry!! I just reached down and scooped her up! Usually they take off running, but not this time! And when we put her in the tractor with the others, she went straight to the food! Poor baby!! So I lost one and found one today. Maybe I'll get lucky and find my roo tomorrow, but I doubt it. Duchess, the black dutch hen, was so sad she didn't even lay today.

I think Cris's other goldfish is lonely. It hasn't eaten at all today, and it just keeps hanging out in the corner where they would sleep at. I don't know what I'm gonna do with all these sad animals. The splash hen is still mopey about her babies, now Duchess with her roo, and the goldfish.

Hey before I forget, does anyone have a standard wheaton game hen? I have a wheaton roo and BBRed hen, but my hen has some genetic thing going on. Most of her eggs are deformed. Dad has 2 wheaton hens, but I would get into the debate about whose chicks they are with that if I incubated them. So I need my own hen!

And I am very happy that you have babies for me!! My bantie chicks are awfully lonely looking since we took the standards out of their box! Now there are only 17 chicks or so in there, instead of 30ish!

Little Man? Meaning Meri's little man? Idk. I don't really like the chicks I got from her and Big Poppa, they were the only ones that weren't blue. They were kind of black splash I guess! That one you liked that turned out to be a boy is one of hers.

Oh didn't realize you had a little man!! I would think they would be some BTB and some black, depending on which color is more dominant. They might end up being kind of washed out buff too. Or they could be all blacks, who knows?

Where did you get your BTB from?

He is from my first Ideal order...He's a handsome dude. He got the front two points of his comb bit off in a scuffle though, otherwise we were going to show him, he's such a sweetheart.
