Kentucky people

Meri, Yes it is 1 tsp per gallon for the tylan...If the waterer is in the coop then move it into the run and wait awhile to let them out in the mornings so they are very thirsty, that way you know they are getting the medicine properly. If you have two waterers in the run put a half gallon in each...If they happen to drink all of it(doubt it) before the day is done then just put regular water w/ electrolites out.

The Oxine is cheaper if you buy it from here

But then you also have to pay shpg. On my qt size and my candler the shpg was 11.95. and you use little amounts in the mixes so it'll last a while.

The chicks will be 3 wks old tomorrow...Put that on your calender so you don't forget.

The chicks I am bringing you are Japanese, but I'm not so sure that one of them isn't one of the Porcelain Dutch girls chick because it has a little black dot on it's head and I can't remember whether it was Little Man or one of the Japs that had the little black spot. But it is still buff colored like the rest...The 3 Japs I am bringing you are going to be a week old after this weekend so pick a day on them because I'm not sure when two of them hatched as they were under Belle. Those two could be going on two weeks actually. I had to powder them with DE because the brilkie looked like it may have had head mites fine everywhere else....Could have just been dander or something else but didn't want to chance it(paranoid). Treated the whole brooder with DE too.

Well we get to start eating the eggs again so other than sending out a couple of batches to folks I will be eating my eggs instead of incubating, finally.

Shelley Sorry I didn't respond earlier on Dutchess, but wanted to say she is really pretty...And like I said before, she is always welcome here...Just let me get the other coop built this winter and I'll buy her if you still want to let her go.

Hope I'm not forgetting anything important...Oh well.

Have a great day all, Cindy

Cool Link!!!

I'll have to check them out better later, but I did order a quart of Oxine - much better price than for a gallon of it elsewhere.

WooHoo!!!!

Hmmm... hubby is gonna ask me what I bought this time.... I'll just tell him it is necesary in order not to lose more birds - save expense further down the line. (not to mention him having to deal with me being pouty and grumpy cause my birds are dying.)

eta - even the gallon price is great .

Thanks

Yeah Cindy, just let me know if you want her when you're ready. She has gone on strike as well as far as laying, so now I have nothing but free-loaders!

Like I told Meri yesterday, I am thinking about getting out of bantams altogether, not sure right now. I'm still thinking about it.

There will be 6 so far probably, depends on if any of these last five hatch(looking doubtful) the BR was moving when I put it in the hatcher with the rest but since I had to put a couple more in today I did a quick candle and there isn't any movement...2 are mine(an EE and a BLRW/Marans), you get the Japs and if you want it you can have my Brilkie, this one doesn't matter to me either way it is a real sweetheart. Although for some reason it wasn't pleased with the new addition when I put in the BLRW mix..May just be because it is getting crowded in my brooder...So I moved the Brilkie out with Cheepers and the Shelley chicks and they are keeping it warm. Those are very accommodating birds(the games) I am really surprised at that.

Oh yeah sidetrack moment...Forgot to tell you it will be in the afternoon that I stop on Thursday...And then on Friday I'll call before I leave to head home and then call when I get closer.

(I wrote down the japs, need the other ages, I'm curious is all

I'm sure someone who stops by will ask me ages, and I will have to tell them.)

meri (who still hasn't even begun her dishes)

It probably means we are all avoiding the work we ought to be doing
big_smile.png

Ok, I'm REALLY getting off here now to go do dishes

I hate washing dishes. I need to get hubby to hook my dishwasher up here. It is almost brand new - moved it down here, no hook-ups for one, will have to make our own hookups. Got a power box installed for it, just need to cut the cupboard open and stick it in there and hook the pipes.

Sounds like a winter job for hubby

Oh and Meri? It's been 6 minutes, and you're still on!

Oh and did you notice that the BYC U clothing is available? I pre-ordered mine, and got the email saying they were here. I told them when I ordered it that I wouldn't be able to get it until next month. Now they have re-opened the store, so mine will probably be gone!! That sucks. Not like I really needed another zippered hoodie, but I thought they would be neat. Kind of like my Christmas present to myself. Guess I'll get stuck with some more toys from my darling son like last year!! Dontcha just love 4 year olds!

Ok, dishes "mostly" done. Still got silverware and two pans.

I was wondering, though....

When I clean house I play music REALLY loud, to take my mind off the drudgery.

What music do you most often listen to?

I listen to a wide range - depends on my mood at the time....

Currently I have the soundtrack to The Commitments in the player.

I like celtic music - but usually it is Dropkick Murphys, the Pogues or Flogging Molly
big_smile.png
(I like a little Davey Spillane, too)

I like old rock - like Queen, Rolling Stones, The Who, Doors, etc...

I like soul music - Aretha, Etta James, Sam Cooke, Wilson Pickett, etc...

I like Bob Marley, Ziggy Marley (some of his stuff).

And I like Rusted Root (heavy drums, I like drums)

I also like Swing music - but Good stuff.

My dirty little secret is.... I like Old English Folk Music

I have a lot of Maddy Prior and Steeleye Span in my collection

Sooo, when you reach for some cd to throw into the player, what do you like to grab?
