Basically heated watering base or other method to resist freezing and ventilated but draft-free coop. I added a cozy coop heater 1 time when wind chill was in the negative 20-30’sKentuckians...I've been asking about winterizing my coop and doing research.
It just dawned on me that there is a Kentucky thread! For those of you with experience, what exactly do you do to winterize your coop? Wondering what is needed to keep my girls safe.

I have sixteen and so far all are still well! I haven't let them out, just kept them in their coop. The coop has gotten down to 2 degrees but today was up to 15. I even had one of my chickens lay their first egg yesterday!Have your chickens stayed safe in this?
