Kentucky people

Mojo!!! no wonder they are small, . . . you have the feed bucket on the top rail of the fence and they cannot reach it.

And why does hubby need a haircut? He looks a little like Santa! Wish my beard looked that full and nice.

Rick

that's a dirty bucket - needs cleaning, that's why it's up so high. Somehow it got major mud on it - imagine that, MUD in Kentucky!!! never, I say...

I made him a double batch of "orange chocolate cranberry walnut bark" the other day - between him and Sam it's over half gone!! the hogs.

they are SO funny, too. I let them out of their stalls during the day, for some excerise and to play, and they jump and kick up their heels - only they are so small and clumsy still they fall down as often as they land on their feet. Ike took a dirt dive today and just sat there looking at the ground like it jumped up and hit him, instead of the other way around

Sluggo is a new calf - we also got one tonight, so I have four new bottle babies, total.

Ike wasn't in that pic, he was over by me, chewing on my pantleg

silly boy.

I'm raising dairy bull calves (I band them at a certain size, though, so they are actually steer calves eventually) for meat - I plan to sell them for that purpose, I mean. I'm only keeping one for our freezer (Mookie) and I have a heifer (Camille) I'm raising to be a nurse cow... and then Tina might have to stay

I'm in love with those tiny babies.

eta - there are more pics of them both on this thread - post 20 is extra (new) pics of them all. https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=3169422#p3169422

Ever notice how no matter what you post, there is always someone that comes along just to tell you that what you are doing is the totally wrong thing to do, and that you are a complete idiot??
barnie.gif
OR is it just me that they do this too?
I posted in the other pets forum about the bunny, and wouldn't you know, the 2nd person to reply has to tell me that 'GPs and bunnies can't be kept together'.
rant.gif
I have read in many different places that this is totally fine. If we don't keep the bunny with the GPs right now, we don't keep the bunny period. Why can't people just answer the dang question, and keep their opinions to themselves??

Thanks also to the Republic of Chickenville.... Just heard CA wants to add a 10% tax on income above what they already pay....

Oh Empress of Chickenville, what is the tax rate there?? I may have to move to Chickenville to be able to afford to live in the USA.....

I think our servents in DC have forgotten our motto -- "Land of the Free and home of the Brave" If not for our fighting armed forces we would not be where we are today....

I'm not sure they remember taxation w/o representation either... or did we just vote the wrong folks to congress??

And they wonder why the number of gun sales has gone up....

Okay, enough ranting this morning...

Ms. Lewis Rich :

Mrs. Turbo are you coming to Nationals this weekend?

No....we are going to the call duck nationals in Iowa thanksgiving weekend.....can't do both. Have to have someone care for the animals and 2 kids while we are gone.

We also got a new bunny.....a mini rex baby. Too cute!!! Also got 2 barn kittens yesterday. Hope they stick around. I was thinking they would keep each other company.....they were the only 2 left at the dog pound.

LOL taxes are low in Chickenville, just for road (driveway) upkeep, which is minimal - no taxes for stuff such as wars or pubic health care crap or stoop!d stuff

We work on a barter basis, here -- you work the farm, you get most stuff provided for you (or rather, you provide it for yourself) if you earn it, you keep it.

You are free to succeed or fail - your choice. And yes, some folks DO fail - that's called Nature.

You are free to do whatever you darn well please - as long as it does not infringe on someone else's rights. Political Correctness is not tolerated, however, and you will be banished for NOT speaking your mind PLAINLY and simply.

btw - we have our own shooting range, and the neighbors do too - we have good neighbors
