Guess I pronounce it the more uncommon way. Makes sense though, because I also say 'spelt' instead of 'spelled'.

Everyone would say everyone has an accent. I have a Canadian accent and people in the US south would say that I sound weird. XD

It's all normal to the person saying it.........Also it is pronounced Khaki as it looks it's the Brits accent that makes it sound wrong....My Husband explained it to me...Now I can give up on my British accent....
