Ok, here’s my real entry. Is anybody familiar with Felting? I’ve been working on this guy off & on for over a year & its nowhere near done yet. Believe it or not, he started out as a little piece of wool fluff. The process is like trying to make a statue out of cotton candy.

Liver is delicious....
A bit of flour, pan-fried in a bit of oil... yum.
I've only had deer liver, though... I wonder what the other kinds are like?

Deer liver is do-able, even if I can only take it in a pate'. At least it has real flavor,. domestic liver is pasty even before you pate it. Nasty stuff. I don't even think Old Bay could fix it ... and at my house, that's SAYIN' something!

I made some more sourdough today, but it's already gone. The roommates really liked it.

Are pansies easy to grow, out of curiosity?

Judging by a lot of us around here ... myself included ... apparently so! But honestly, if you're gonna grow the flowering kind at home, it's easiest (and cheaper) to just to buy a few plants for a couple of years in a row and deadhead as the seed pods dry out. As long as you keep them in the same spot, they should keep reseeding themselves for years. You'll just need to add one or two every year to keep things fresh ... and that's fun, because there are always new color combinations to try!
Now I'm feeling nostalgic and regretful for my old pansy patch. I guess I'll have to start over again, this Fall. Gee. Thanks.
