Deer liver is do-able, even if I can only take it in a pate'. At least it has real flavor,. domestic liver is pasty even before you pate it. Nasty stuff. I don't even think Old Bay could fix it ... and at my house, that's SAYIN' something!Liver is delicious....
A bit of flour, pan-fried in a bit of oil... yum.
I've only had deer liver, though... I wonder what the other kinds are like?
Judging by a lot of us around here ... myself included ... apparently so! But honestly, if you're gonna grow the flowering kind at home, it's easiest (and cheaper) to just to buy a few plants for a couple of years in a row and deadhead as the seed pods dry out. As long as you keep them in the same spot, they should keep reseeding themselves for years. You'll just need to add one or two every year to keep things fresh ... and that's fun, because there are always new color combinations to try!Are pansies easy to grow, out of curiosity?
