My one remaining chicken was killed yesterday afternoon in the daylight. Since going through her 3 'sisters' being mauled a year and 3 months ago, then Marek's disease, battling paralysis, and finally getting to be able to move around - she stays indoors in our basement overnight and free ranges all day ending around front on our porch (and running in the door to come in at night) to go to bed. I put her out later than normal yesterday (around 1pm), fed and watered her like normal. At bedtime, she wasn't on the front porch. I found her dead near her food (uneaten) and water. She had 1 deep puncture wound in her back and wasn't eaten. Just laid flat on her stomach dead
