Killing Horses for Humans to Eat!

Just because one finds something gross or inhumane in their opinion does not make it inedible for others....

Should never been something needing voted on in the first place in my opinion.

Many keep chickens as "pets" and still eat chicken right?

I stopped eating chickens, ducks, and turkeys ever since I started owning them. I'm kind of slowly going away from cattle and pig but no one can ever make me stop loving seafood. NOBODY I TELL YA NOBODY!!!

I hope this isn't true. I would like to know the # of the bill and find out who voted for it in the House and the Senate. I think its gross, and a bad idea. I know they do it in Mexico. Across from where I live there is a horse farm that buys and sell to transport, that go to Mexico for slaughter. I think it's really bad. Why do people buy a horse if they don't have enough land and can't properly take care of them. The horses across the street from me are all skin and bones. Probably filled with worms, too. I'm with you on this one. I think it needs to be stopped. Maybe if we quit shipping our beef to foreign countries and import crap back into this country, we would be healthier. Pay the farmers for the beef hear. Not be a sell out. We are all going to have to pay for it, health wise in the future. Like I said, I'm with you, Wbruder17!

So you think we should eat more beef, so why do you hate cows ?

Another question is what they are feeding the beef. I know they had been feeding the remnants of dead animals to cows. There is where the mad cow originated. Cows weren't meant to eat anything other then grass and hay. Not even corn, but farmers feed it to them to fatten them up so they get more at the sale per pound. It's not right. And kinda gross because we have come so far away from what we eat. We don't know what it's been fed. It's sad.

In nature cows would eat whatever plant they get a hold off, even corn, depending how hungry they are. I never heard that they were fed animal by products, pigs yes - i knew about that . They will eat whatever they get a hold off, they are omnivore and eat both meat and plants.

A lot of horses that end up at auction include horses from failed competition or racing industries, old breeding stock, and other animals that are raised in an industry that usually requires specialized feed stocked with vitamins, antibiotics, and supplements that are not approved for animals meant for human consumption.
I can't imagine anything in a supplement that could be harmful, and it is easy to check for antibiotics. In my humble opinion, this whole horsemeat thing is a classic example of making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Really? Nothing in a supplement could be harmful? I mean no offense but do you think all supplements are benign?
Oh, I understand, the FDA says it is OK so it can't possibly be harmful.
The same regulators that will get a job from the food supplement companies when they leave public service.
