Most cats are happier outside. There's more to do out there. :) it can be hard to balance their happiness with keeping them safe.

That’s very true! Especially because for a while recently she was peeing on rugs and having to be confined to the basement. :( my dad works down there so she’s not totally alone, during the week she gets company all day, and I do try to visit her a lot and also we’ve been letting her up when we can watch her and she seems to do well, hasn’t peed on anymore rugs yet, so we’ve been letting her up more, but I still feel bad. She much prefers to be up here haha she’s very social and likes to hang out with people even if she’s not actively being petter she’ll just lay in a nearby room and watch or sit in the same room as you or whatever so I think she gets a bit lonely. :(

Anyway, I think she likes being outside because it is much more interesting than being in the basement or even being upstairs haha

And she can visit us/hang out when she wants and there’s plenty to do and observe and animals to keep her company or hunt ha

We also currently have a major chipmunk problem and she loves hunting them. Or at least watching. She does more watching and stalking than she does actual hunting and catching. :lau

And lately we’ve also been having these two turkeys hang around and dust bathe and stuff and my dad says she loves watching them and even tries to stalk them/figure out if she can catch one. :lau :gig :lau

I’ve never seen her do that one yet but she’s done it a few times hopefully I will get to soon lol

Anyway, she usually goes out all or most of the day lately and then comes in at night. She usually stays pretty close to the house and decks too lately and she’s very smart so so far it’s worked out. She just loves lounging around in the sun mostly. :love

And trying to stalk the animals. :lau

She is incredibly lazy though. Today I watched her observe two chipmunks from the deck with extreme fascination and start to approach but then they jumped off into the tall grass, maybe saw her, so out of sight and she just forgot about them and gave up and didn’t even try to approach. :lau

They were behind my garden so maybe 20, 25 feet away if that lol lol

Wow that looks amazing!! Nice job!! And maybe it’s just the pictures but those look like some seriously big parakeets! Lol
Wait.. for real..?.... I thought they looked lost in there as this thing is huge! I wish I would’ve built it a bit smaller.. to fit through a doorway :th.. oh well.. too late now .... looks like I need more budgies to fill it up... budgie math :gig
Thank you!

That's okay. :) Luna sounds happy.

Thank you! I like to think she is but who knows lol I hope she is.

I think she was a bit depressed for a while after Gator died and also having been relegated to the basement for a bit but she seems much happier now that we’ve been letting her up again and especially since we’ve been letting her outside. She really seems to love laying in the sun. :love

It’s always a risk cause she’s so small so at first my dad would always claim she “accidentally” snuck out and I’d get mad he let her out but after seeing how much happier she is out there, I’m glad she’s getting outside and have even let her out myself many times lol

She mostly only goes out in spring and summer though. She especially loves being out in summer. I didn’t let her out much this spring cause I didn’t want her eating all the baby animals ha I love the wildlife. Don’t need her killing it all :lau she doesn’t really have any interest in going out in winter or fall lol smart girl. But once spring rolls around, she starts getting antsy and hanging by the door. :lau

Thank you!

Yes really!! LOL I mean, it’s definitely huge and tons of room for them and all, but that yellow one looks freaking HUGE!! LOL

And yessss you definitely need more!!

She is so cute! Do you think she is mixed with Ragdoll..? Color isn’t right but the marking are.. correct color for a Ragamuffin though.. I love the mitted feet and the milk on the chin :love

Thank you!! I’m not really sure tbh! We got her at a pet store 9 years ago and I think they just said “domestic long hair” or something like that but they also said she was like 10-12 weeks, closer to 12, but according to her birthdate, if it was right, she was actually like 16 weeks, and we think they were trying to sell her fast before they put the new kittens out cause they accidentally mentioned something about more kittens in the back, so who knows LOL

It would certainly explain her extremely docile and gentle temperament and personality haha

I remember though when we first got her I thought she was a Norwegian Forest Cat because I had found a picture that looked JUST like her and she loved water like they do so we were all excited she was gonna get huge, it would just take like 4 years, cause they’re related to Maine Coons but NOPE. She stayed small and runty. :lau

She doesn’t really play in the water anymore but she used to love to drink from faucets or even sometimes jumped on the toilet and drank from there. :lau :sick

And thank you! I do too. :love

I think her little chin is so cute especially since she’s got a bit of pink on her lip/chin :love
