I have three indoor cats. If confronted with a chick they sloooowly back away, and nonchalantly go anywhere else. It's really funny to watch, and gratifying too, I don't have to worry to much about the cats thinking they have new toys. Even funnier though is what we are calling Kitty TV. The chicks are in a large rubbermaid container with a 100 watt bulb shining over them. The cats love to sit outside the brooder and watch the chickie shadows on the wall of the container. They will watch for hours, even the one who ran away from the chick. Kitty TV, a new channel coming to cable in 2008.
