Sometimes the walkers w seats are too big to use around the house- they're pretty big & bulky- but might be nice if you're out & about or plan to do a lot of walking- of course you could use the seat part to set your buckets on to do your outdoor feedings and chores!! Until it snows of course

Thanks. That helps knowing that. Now I have to decide whether to use my grandmother's old walker or invest in a nice one with a seat.

Don't spend any money on equipment. Your insurance will either pay for your assistive device (most insurances allow one every 5 years, or sooner if there have been major status changes). And even if the insurance doesn't cover it in full, the extra cost will go towards your deductible. PM following.

Tonight I saw my friend who had the knee surgery one month ago. He is walking without a walker or crutches, and he is not even limping. He's been walking 2 miles daily plus doing his rehab. Doctor and therapists are delighted with his progress. Keep the faith -

That's exactly what I'm hoping for too. You have made me a bit less scared. Glad your friend is doing so well too. I am hoping for two miles a day too.

I have to tell you that I was amazed at how well he is doing.

He must be feisty too, and doesn't like being taken care of either.

He's feisty, but he likes being waited on. I thought he would have drug this recovery out so that his wife had to do all of the work.
