Thanks! The weather I can usually deal with, it’s the people that make things hard for me sometimes. I can totally make do with adding the chicks to the trailer, it’s more if Andrew and I will still be speaking to each other by the time that they are OK outside...

She always lays in the nest with the most eggs!
She always tucks them all in under her & keeps them warm.
A little bit of warm weather & it will be on.

O boy. In all the years we have had the chickens we never had a broody. Now having leghorns at first helped as they don't go broody. As soon as we branched out to other hens my wife and I thought a broody would be fun. Unfortunately I get one when I can't let her sit. Be careful what you ask for comes to mind.

Looks like you are going to have some fun with one as well.

She was a pain last summer. :( I'm hoping for a cooler summer & no broodies @ all!
