Mrs. Turbo :

Poor John....we all use him.....lol

If you know John..then you know that he ADORES female attention..so he doesn't mind a bit

lol......My husband keeps me close by at the swap meets unless he needs me to trade John for some cages.

It is at the intersection of Hwy 61 and Hwy 481. In the winter it is a bit less but they always have chickens.... A Lot of non-english speaking buyers wanting meat chickens.... You really never know what you will find there.

I will sometimes take some of my animals there but mostly sell soaps and breads....

John definitely loves female attention.... He calls my DD precious.... I usually send his wife some of my soaps for putting up with him....

Now all I need to do is catch the little buggers for you.... They're a bit net wise since my DS has been out there catching the Scovies.... He doesn't understand that they are big enough to fend for themselves and will come into the barn area when they want to roost.... it is a bit funny to see a Scovie in the rafters of the barn.... A few have gotten really good at flying... they jump from the outside coop to the inside coop and then into the rafters.... quite fun to watch....

We figured out that out of 5 guineas we have 4 males.... guess that is my next adventure to find them a few more females as they've become a pack of wild rats screaming at the least little thing... and going after my hens... not a good thing in my book....

I'll drop the birds off early as I have to go to the airport to pick up my Mom....

I got rid of my guineas because they were always chasing the hens away from the food. And when I found them all in a circle around a pullet, pecking the crap out of her...that was the final straw....she died.

I don't miss them.

I know what ya mean about the food.... my guineas tend to fly out of the barn yard and stalk around the yard in a pack....

I'm gonna get some live animal traps and see if I can catch whatever it is getting to my eggs... I suspect after finding no dog food on the porch this morning that it is a group of skunks....

Just hope I don't have to shot it three or four times to kill the thing.....

Spidertoys -- I'd like some of the Doms. I didn't get the birds in the cages before John was leaving. I'll take them to him next Saturday.

The Shepherdsville Stock Yards are at 61 and 480.... It is at the exit for the Awesome Flea Market.... I mistakenly said it was 481... bad typo...
