Mmmm, enjoying a little southern breakfast.....sweet potato pie. Yes I know it isn't the best breakfast for a 2 year old but how do I explain why Mommy can have it and you can't. Plus, he is a chick magnet. (shirt)

I got a pip! Wooi-hoo! My eggs that were chirping and twitching on day 15 aren't doing anything though.

I hope they survived...its day 20.

Hmm... I did. My ex husband told me no farm animals. That was just one of his grievous mistakes.

And now... oh... a divorce, a few years and 50+ chickens later... there is much happiness here! Especially since my alimony payments are over now, too.

I just give hubby "the look" and he knows he has stepped over the chicken line.

LOL!

The "look"... gotta love it!

Alrighty! We have two more entries added to the contest page. Let's keep them coming!

I don't know if Foul is the word for these girls....... I have got to have the ugliest EEs out there. Apparently my Minorca hen has a thing with EE....she wants to EEat them i guess.

This is Milly....no she isn't an naked neck EE....she just has the vulture thing going on.

This is Ginger. She is an EE with the full package. No neck feathers, no A%$ feathers, and very few back feathers or tail feathers. (she is currently in a pen on her own growing back feathers poor girl)

I would just like to say that I am in the process of trying to come up with an anti pecking solution. I did find out the EE are notorious for letting others peck out their feathers. So if anyone has found anything that works...pleeeeease share.

Two more Icelandics out! YAY!

This is NOT the ugliest bird I have ever owned--but he was definately the naturally ugliest, especially when you combined all his invidual features. I mean look at the hooves on this guy!

(NOT AN ENTRY TO THE WEEK 3 CONTEST)

I have had uglier birds--moulting or whatnot, but they always got better. That little guy- DOOMED TO UGLINESS.

I saw at least one egg pipped under my first broody! She's been a good first time mommy so far
