I haven't given the update on my hatch I apologize. My hubby is away at work and I have been busy taking care of things. My workload is high and he will be back in a couple weeks. I've been kind of lonely, also.
So 11 of 12 of my american onagadori hatched. The twins did not make it, neither of the delaware twins. One was almost fully developed and one quit about a week in.
All but 1 RIR hatched but one hatched without a skull so I had to cull it.
Right now I have an incubator going into lockdown tomorrow with 15 runner duck eggs and one goose egg.
Plus 2 incubators full of chicken eggs and one full of goose. After these couple of hatches, its back to only chickens for me.
Waterfowl are just so precious but they sure do stink the brooder fast
The 8 goslings I got from my hatch a couple weeks ago. It was a 100% hatch woot!
I actually sold 4 of them, then traded them back for soap... funny story... and now they are being trained as weeders. I will keep 2 and hopefully sell the rest as weeders. I am not looking to dramatically increase my goose population around here.
So that is my update... gosh, I am so tired... I've got my hands full with just the kids, let alone all the birds. Someone send me some strength to last another 2 weeks.
It's the little things... now I have to make my own coffee...
