Large Eggs

One of my hens is laying some pretty impressive large eggs. One that I measured the other day is 2 3/4 inches long. I got one longer than that last week one day. What's considered the average for large eggs?

Our biggest so far was 3.7 ounces, we've had a lot of eggs that were close to that weight. Haven't measured them - they definitely loom over the other eggs!

Each time my hens have laid unusually large eggs, they have been double-yolkers.
