Large Fowl Cochin Thread

Anyone have blue or black hatching eggs fpr sale? Really would love to get some sent this way in the next week or so...

Bantam or LF/Standard?


I have eggs but not all Balck or blue. If interested::

LF = My roosters are (1) buff & (1) Blue but I can say I beleive the buff is 99.9% the daddy. My hens are black, buff, partridge & white. The all mixed (all LF Cochin) but I wouldn't be able to tell which eggs come from the black ones

Bantam = 2 black roosters with 2 barred hens, 3 red, gold and/or golden laced neck feathers (so not solid black) hens.

Also, I will be 100% honest, I am selling eggs like crazy right now locally and I am also incubating & hatching with great success but I have never shipped eggs (but have had many shipped, so I know what needs to be done to ensure the best protection.) Also, I am not NPIP cettified YET. Appointent in the works, just waiting for the call.

no, the first few were infertile, I had four in the incubator and yesterday was day ten, only put two in amass I got 2 lookin good. collecting all I can right now for the Easter hatch. keeping all I hatch to grow out and select best.

My Buff boy went thru a bad moult in the Fall and is still growing out feathers. He is still under 2 years old. Lately these tail feathers have started to grow. They still have a lot of wax at their base, (is that the right term for the covering on new feathers?) so they are still developing. He also got much more masive. He now makes my huge hen look small. She is about 4 years old now. I hope I get some chicks this year. My 3 last year were killed by a dog.
