Large mass on my ovary

Good thing you caught that!

hoping the surgery goes quickly with no complications!

pips&peeps :

Are they going to completely unzip you or do it laproscopically. (sp?)

They are going to make an incision about 3-4 inches wide and go in laproscopically. If the thing turns out be full of fluid, they will drain it and pull it out. If not, they will make the hole as big as they need and pull it out. Of course, everything else is coming out too.

Because of my age, the fact that there is endometriosis despite a previous ablasion and now the mass, there is really no point in taking chances. If I was younger and considering having more kids, it might be different.

Hang in there Jody. Make sure they give you ice cream after the surgery. It sure cured my tonsils when I was a kid. Maybe it will work for ovaries.

Wishing you a fast recovery

and good health! I'd do the same and remove ALL those parts and be done with it. Keep us updated so we can send you our prayers.

I had a total abdominal hysterectomy at 40 years old for something very similar to what you have - best decision I felt I ever made. Like you, had finished with having children and didn't need the "spare parts" plus didn't want to take any chances.

and best of luck and prayers for fast recovery sent your way.
