Large, Open-Air Coop in Central NC

Progress has been slow between rain on DH's days off and DH's bursitis flaring in his shoulder, but today he had 2 of our sons helping so he got all of the hurricane ties on and most of the blocking installed (we went back and forth about either blocking or bending the wire out to the fascia boards and finally decided on the blocking to make the installation of the wire easier. We don't need the soffits open for ventilation because everything else is already open.

He's taken tomorrow off too, but doesn't know how much he'll get done with an appointment scheduled to interupt him at the worst possible time.

The plan is to wire the entire coop and then to put the dog-eared fence boards that will form the shelter on the outside of the wire. That will ensure that no predator can gain access by just ripping a board off and will also make it easy to replace any deteriorating boards without compromising the envelope.
