Fortunately, I'd taken my break at work just now because DH texted me with a demand for my choice of metal roof colors RIGHT NOW (I can't take calls at work). Apparently there is a metal shortage now and prices go up tomorrow.



It will be blue. He's seen the swatch. I haven't.

We are short 3 roof trusses. Two bowed badly in storage and DH thinks he miscounted how many he'd need (I think this may have dated from the time we *intended* to buy a certain number of boards but Lowes didn't have enough).

He started the purlins on the uphill side.

Roof trusses are up and purlins are being placed.

During this process DH got the call that the metal is ready -- several days early. It's supposed to rain this afternoon but he's thinking of going to pick it up in the rain anyway so we'll have it here.

A funny note,

We spend so much time on this forum suggesting that people knock their soffit blocks out and replace them with wire. But this design has so much air that we're going to install soffit blocks so we don't have to make so many cuts.
